Emap is one of the largest publishers of consumer magazines in the UK. They engaged LBi to create a white label publishing platform and community system to create web based magazines that complimented the physical publications.
In approaching this project two sample publications where chosen to ensure that the white label platform would adapt and be rolled out across different magazine titles. An understanding of the editorial content was required in approaching this project as well as a definition of community or user generated content such as product reviews, ratings and comments. It was also important that the site supported multiple types of advertising as this was a major revenue generator going forward.
The Content Management System required integration with ENDECA to support faceted navigation products in the different areas.
